Happy Birthday, Little Brother!

No time this morning to do what you deserve, but I am thinking of you, and wishing you a happy, happy birthday! Dad … got pictures? Steve was awfully cute as a child. If you scan and send, I will post. (Update: thanks for the pictures, mom! Click on comments to see them all.)

Have a great day, little brother 🙂

HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE! I guess I have to write it here b/c I sure never reach you at home to tell you Happy Birthday. I hope you had a great day and that the year to come if full of good surprises and wishes.

We love you and will see you on Sunday (hopefully nothing changes).

    Love Shaun and Michele

You are right, Laura, he was a cute kid! He still is but next year he becomes an adult! Way
over the hill! I had more photos that I could have sent but didn’t realize Michele had more.
We will celebrate on Sunday with girls! love

I’m not “mom”, but I can answer this 🙂

Mom and Dad said I should make sure that you and Steve have the same number of photos on your birthday posts. They wanted me to make sure that Steve didn’t get more than you, but in reality, they didn’t send me as many of him, as they did of you. You got two posts with 10 pictures total, Steve only got one post with nine photos. You’re winning this race, little sister!

  4. Michele & Shaun

Oh now that is taking fairness too far! I think I am okay loosing this race – put tons of Steve on – they are fun to look at! (How yo do like that sentence ending in a prep. Dad?)

  5. Laura

You heard her, mom and dad … send more 🙂

Actually, they don’t just have to be of Steve. I like it when you send us old pictures that I can add to gigglefern. Such fun!

And little sister, it didn’t bother me a bit that you ended your sentence with a preposition. But “loosing” the race? We wouldn’t want our races to be loose, now would we? Long live tight races!

Actually I look at what I wrote now and I think I must have been drinking. The entire thing is a little “off”. Oh well, it was late.

  7. Laura

No worries, made me smile and that’s worth a lot. But my question is … did the birthday boy even look at this post? He surely hasn’t responded. Steve?

  8. Michele & Shaun

I can answer that but hey Steve – post!!! I asked him today at lunch if he had even seen his birthday post and pictures and he said he and the girls looked at it yesterday.

  9. Steven

I have looked at the pictures and comments. All the pictures were so old the girls didn’t believe it was me.

  10. Westi

I have a question! (Laura says “Yes Westi?”) How old are you Laura in that picture of you and Steve together? I’m guessing probably my age now?

  11. Laura

I don’t know *where* it is going, but it goes there faster and faster all the time … it was just a blink ago when I used that line about turning a quarter of a century old, and now a half a century looms all too close.

  12. Laura

Oh, and little brother, thank you for the compliment. I think. Or were you commenting on my immaturity?
