Home Sweet Home

My last week of summer vacation. School responsibilities start back up next Monday. The girls and I spent our last completely free week of the summer…home. No backpacking, camping, or traveling. It is the girls 8th week of summer vacation and the first to actually be in Wyandotte. We had a nice week visiting friends, spending time with grandma and grandpa, riding bikes, going to the Y, reading books, going to the movies, playing in the park and Ceasarland and being couch potatoes. Just a relaxing week at home…what a concept.

Looks like a nice way to relax! Shelly your 12 hour typical position is one I bet Aunt Laura can relate to liking but doesn’t get to do 12 hours a day (that is lying on the couch, reading a good book while having cats around). Me – I am ready to not see a book for a week!!!!!!

They were just here overnight and I can attest to the TV watching. We love having them here,
even if they were coach potatoes this time. We
have some scrapbooking plans and making shrinkindinks next time if we get the photos we
need! Thanks, Steve, for putting photos on web.

I’m headed out to my deck bed, with a book, to get in the “typical Shelly position” myself. After a sleepless night last night during which I got up and watched the entire DVD of the last Road Association meeting (yuck) to compare the minutes with reality, I am tired. If that sleepless thing happens again tonight, I’ll be better prepared with my glasses next to the bed, and the bed positioned for optimal Perseid meteor shower viewing. Then tomorrow night, Steve, Jill and Shelly will lose top billing on gigglefern because I’ll post more nostalgic pictures sent by mom this morning.
