Maybe I should be a little more crazy …

Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
They invent. They imagine.
They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire.
They push the human race forward.
Maybe they have to be crazy.

How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written?
Or gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?
While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Because the people who are crazy enough
to think they can change the world,
are the ones who do.

Hi from Colorado Springs CO! We have arrived, we were upgraded to a Mustang convertible for free, and have a kitchen in our suite for the week so I won’t blow my weight watchers this entire week. So far vacation has started out pretty darn nice.

Hug the “boys” for me Mom!!!!!

How are the CA kids doing? Are you checking this at all?

I check most days!Sounds like things are great
wtih you and Shaun, Michele! Boys are fine and
quieter today for some reason. Laura and Steve
are off to OR for two weeks. Not sure about Wes and Mike. I haven’t been very good lately
at writing email or cards. Girls come home tomorrow and we will be with them for a couple
days.Hope everyone is great. We are fine and
enjoying nice weather although we need rain.
    love you all

Mike and I are good. Mike officially finished his one year probation on Saturday and David and Deborah celebrated their 35th (I believe) wedding anniversary. So we’ve certainly had some hallmarks here! The last few weeks have been wrapped up in preparing for my friend Jhonee’s wedding, which went off beautifully last weekend. So things are finally calming down a bit, just in time for the next school year to begin and traffic to kick-up. God bless my bike! I hope winter never comes. Wish I was on vacation too, I could use it!

Quick note. Colorado is good. We went up to the Summit of Pike’s Peak and WOW is what I say. we have met some really nice people who keep giving Shaun tips. This is quite a race!!! It is high up there. We both said it was as close to God (thinking spacially if heaven is up) that we want to be for a long time!! Pretty amazing being higher than the clouds while my feet are touching ground.

Glad to hear from you, Michele! We will try to
call but I figured catching you would be hard.
The boys are fine! CO sounds pretty amazing.
It is a beautiful state and we need to go there
to see family and other places. We have not been to Pike’s Peak! Hope your vacation is good, Laura, we haven’t heard anything from you. Dad’s into projects and I need to be. The
project the last couple days was girls as Steve
was working. Weather still great except we need rain. love you all

I wish you would take the rain we are having on and off here in CO. I think it will rain race day which will make for a long and potentially cold run for Shaun and many others.

Give the boys a big hug and kiss from me! I can’t wait to have them home with us again. Though I think they will have to adjust b/c they like it at your house now.

You can probably reach me on the cell. It seems to work most of the time here.

    Love ya!

I’m finally connected and it is great to check in and see you’ve been visiting gigglefern, even while I couldn’t. I’m temporarily connected so will do an update shortly! Congratulations Michael!
