Jill and Shelly liked Costa Rica too but I hear they don’t want rice and beans for a while … See their trip photos by clicking on the butterfly.
Michele comes home today after passing her class! Woo Hoo … full-fledged employment as a bilingual elementary school teacher looms near. Congrats, Michele! Welcome home, all!

Waiting now for Michele’s pictues – she liked it there too and wants to take Shaun. We have
always known Steven marches to his own drummer
so this is not surprising. He does love Central America lots. Hope you had good weekend – it sure sounded like you would. We
enjoyed seeing Michele and also having everyone
back on American soil. love you all
Due to the fact that I don’t have a fancy new digit camera and didn’t take the older one, my disposable cameras have been turned into Rite Aid and I should have them back at the end of the week or by Sunday. I hope to have lots of pictures to share.
Steve’s pictures are great! I can’t believe you got such a great shot of the Blue Jeans frog.
I am glad to be back on US soil and to be back in the arms of my husband. I am missing Daisy and family and the days full of Spanish though. Oh I wish I could magically pop whereever I wanted to go to see the people I care about.
Boy, Michele don’t we all wish we could do it.
I know a couple places I ‘would pop’ right away. I would be busy ‘popping’ a lot. We had
good visit in IN and are glad to be home. Getting ready for company on weekend. love ya all
Who is coming to visit this weekend, Mom?
Your mother went to bed…to read, she says. So, I will answer. Jack and Dude are coming up Saturday for the 40th anniversary of my ordination. Michele and Shaun are coming down…probably to see Caleb and Jack, who is presently fighting with my printer as the pages come out. I don’t know who else will be coming but maybe Mrs. Rose and John will come by after church. Hopefully it will cool down. It was 95 degrees again today. Not my kind of weather. Now Jack is sitting in one of my slide carousel boxes and is knocking my slides on the floor. As I told Michele: I am charging double for Jack. Dad
Oh Dad, you know you love him and that you are going to miss him when I finally bring him and Caleb home. I miss them tons but I know it is best to leave them there until we get back from Colorado. I will definitely be happy to see them this weekend but you and mom too. Plus Aunt Due and Jack and everyone else.
This heat is crazy!!!!!! Costa Rica was definitely much cooler.
Give a hug and kiss to each of my boys for me!
Our heat left and now you’ve got it. Watching the news last night, it looks like EVERYONE has it except a narrow band on the west coast. I felt grateful to be in it! I hope it cools down for the marathon. I wish we could join you in Colorado, Michele.
Ooh, that would be fun! Steve, you want to run the marathon? Bill broke his foot and he can’t run, there is an opening! Hills are up your alley.
Michelle, are you trying to get Laura a large insurance pay-off? I’m feeling pretty good about walking a couple of miles a few times a week. Running uphill in the heat would kill me for sure! I am pretty good at cheering, though… is there an opening in that department?
Hey, CA crew were you skaking? I didn’t like the news from SF this morning. Hopefully you
didn’t feel it but they said San Jose did. I
think you should go to CO for vacation, Steve
and Laura. Love you all
Oh yeah. There is always an opening for the cheering crew!
No earthquakes felt here. I didn’t even know about it till I got to work.
As for Colorado… we are headed to Oregon on Aug 13, and though a few years ago we managed to make Oregon a pitstop on the way to Colorado, I don’t know if the roads will go that way this year.
