A neighbor horse paid an unexpected visit today… it was kind of exciting! While Pepper and Erik were rearing and biting at each other through the fence, it was a bit much. Pepper was here a couple of hours before his owner came to take him home. In retrospect, it was pretty fun (and very distracting since I should have been doing homework.)

Wow! baby goat and new horse – you are in heaven. I liked Michele’s comment. She called
this am and said Steve and girls arrived safely
and exhausted and they were up at 6am for tour
today – hopefully it had bus ride and they could nap! love ya
Hello from Costa Rica. What a great picture! The horses are beautiful.
Speaking of horses, Steve and the girls could have taken bumps on their way here and had 3 domestic flight tickets. They decided they had better not since we had paid for a tour and that they had gone through so much to get here. I am getting to the horse part…Jill told me about it and what she said was, “We could have used them to go to Aunt Laura’s, we haven’t been there in so long. Maybe they will offer them on the way home. We could she her, Uncle Steve and I really like their horses.” So Laura, you were at the forefront of Jill and Shelly’s thoughts for a trip within the USA.
We have had good tours. I think the girls get bored at times b/c there is so much driving. But they have seen spider monkeys, howler monkeys, crocodiles, caamans, baby viper snakes, dangerous ants that are an inch long, lots of spiders but one that was actually spinning her web, many birds, another type of green tree snake, some poisonous dart frogs, and more. I have yet to see a toucan but Steve saw two of them early one morning while he was on a walk.
I am on the countdown. I think I am taking my test tomorrow, so everyone say prayers, cross fingers, light candles, whatever you believe works!!!! Steve and girls are coming to Daisy’s on Tuesday for dinner then they head out on Wednesday. I finish school on Thursday, take a coffee tour on Friday and I will do some shopping then spend the evening with Daisy. Then I fly out on Saturday!
That is my update for now. What is going on in CA?
So good to hear its been fun with Steve and our nieces. Girls would have liked it here this week… not just for horses and baby goats… but also, we had a tie dye party up at Vaiva’s yesterday. She organized it for the home school families so lots of kids were there. All younger than Shelly and Jill but I still think they would have had fun. Lots of tye dye to rinse out this am but I have to go to school first. Last class before we turn in final projects on Wednesday. Seems we’re finishing up at the same time. Your experience was way more intense and much more of an adventure though!
I liked seeing the web today and getting all the updates. Hey, Laura, what happened to jury duty? I didn’t think your classes would be over so quick but I forgot it is summer school and it goes fast. How are the Disney bunch doing? We just picked up new car. Dad is a wreck! He’s never spent so much money and he couldn’t sleep last night! I told him to cancel if it bothered him but he didn’t! I am saying prayers, Michele, but I am sure you will do fine. Weather is wonderful here and we love it. Things are just moving too fast though. love you all
Was the car new that Dad is freaking out?
So far, so good with jury duty. Almost home free. I still have to call Wednesday night so could be required to report Thursday or Friday.. Made it through summer school though!
The “Disney bunch” is home safe. Fun? I’m not sure… it was very hot. Here too, though. Our low temp yesterday was 81 degrees at six in the morning! Not sure what the high was. The day before it was 106 up here! TOO HOT! The cold plunge came in handy though and no doubt the fog will roll in before too many more days pass. Soon would be good with me.
So what’s this about a new car?
Who is in the Disney Group?
Nicole, Westi and their mom. Steve and I dog-sat our new grand-dog while they were gone. He is quite the little sweetie! Noche and Ginger like him too. Cats aren’t sure what he is. But then, he isn’t too sure about them either.
Tell Dad that was nice of him to buy me a new car as a welcome home gift. He liked the truck so much that he decided to keep it eh? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The new car is a Chevy Impala 2LT, with sun roof, of course. While we did get 0% interest, the payments send chills up my spine. Plus, as I was driving home from signing all the papers, the alternator went out on the 90 Honda. When I tried to open the hood, the latch broke. So I tried to call your mother, and the cell phone was dead. No wonder I could not sleep a wink the night before I picked the car up. As for the truck! A nice little toy, but absolutely the most uncomfortable vehicle in the world to drive. Bush could use that front seat as a torture rack at Guantanomo Bay. But we all look eagerly forward to your return. Love Dad
The car is new and I think he is better! He is picking up 90 after we grocery shopped. He also went to water and feed at Steve’s. The hood was okay – I think he was just frustrated! Our weather is better than yours! We got a little rain so humidity is going up and it is to get hotter also. Hope your weather gets better. We can turn on air! love ya
It’s only 93 right now, inside and out! Not quite cool but loads better…
The fog came in last night. At least in town. It was yummy up here. Fog. Blessed fog.
We have fog next couple days but not sure it is a blessing for drivers. Steve and girls arrrived safely and were here for a snack and then home to rest. They were excited (as much as they get nowdays)and gave us gifts and showed us what they bought. It poured awful rain all the way from airport so we got the rain we needed but it is to be hot for several days. Right now it is cool but humid! Dad’s new car got baptised royally. love you all
I passed my test!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is my last day of class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only 2 days to go until I am home and see family ad my cats!!!!!!!!!! Only 3 days to go until I see my husband!!!!!!!!!!!!! The word for today is YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeahhhhhh! I emailed Mom yesterday to ask the question because you hadn’t said anything, but was waiting for you to post the official news. Congratulations, Michele!
BTW… have you been taking pictures while you’re there?
