Vaiva has goats. Misty is the herd leader and the one who “didn’t get pregnant this year”. Or so Vaiva thought! I went up there early this morning to learn how to milk (which I am very bad at, by the way.) Misty wasn’t with the others so when we were finished, Vaiva went in search. Then … “Oh, Misty’s uddered up!” “Oh, Misty’s got milk!” V and I went for a walk, then checked on Misty again. Contractions had started. Within a half an hour, I had witnessed my first goat birth.
What a way to start a day!

Just a little bit behind. We all know how it feels. Congrats to Misty and to you for witnessing a little furry miracle. Can you keep him? =)
Boy that gives a new meaning to the phrase ¨Got Milk?¨
Cute picture!! Glad to know that everyone on the ‘net now knows that I can’t identify a pregnant goat. 😛 Bad farmer, bad, bad farmer!
westi, Laura says she’s going to raise the baby as a house-goat.
I might keep HER… And Vaiva, you are NOT a bad farmer. You ARE a good cheese maker… mmmmmmm
