Just checking to see if anyone is really out there. Thank you, Michele! Nicole is home for 3 weeks on leave. She and Ranger flew in Saturday night after a horrible experience with United Airlines. They had told her Ranger could only fly with a hard-sided container. When she got to the airport in Bismarck, they said that she had been misinformed, and that he could only use a soft-sided container. She missed her flight because they wouldn’t let her on and told her that her ticket was only good for that flight so she might have to buy a new one. This ticket was not cheap either! Anyway, they did end up booking her on a later flight so she waited many hours in the airport with a drugged small dog, only to be told they let people fly with either kind of container all the time.
She and Steve got back to the house about midnight so by the time we visited a bit, it was a late night. Westi came up bright and early yesterday morning though and Daddy made his girls crepes for breakfast. Just like old times!
I haven’t got all the details yet but I think Nicole’s medical board is sometime this month. Until it happens, she won’t know she is in or out. In the meantime, it is good to have her home. And Ranger is a cutie!

They were cuties and it brings back good memories! Sorry, Nicole, but that seems to be the airlines today. We hate flying! I am glad
you finally got there safefly and your dad is in heaven cooking crepes for ‘his girls’. I wish we could see you also. You all have a great time together. It is too hot here to go
outside but it is suppose to get better by Wed.
love all of you
Westi
Nicole and I enjoyed the *very* buttery crepes and spent the afternoon & evening playing old games like Rumicube and Clue. I didn’t realize just how muched I missed her until we got her back! Hopefully more good memories are to come.

Laura, too bad we didnt have sisterly love in Costa Rica this year. Maybe next year! There are many things I think you would love when I see them and then because of all the tourism, I think you would not love it so much!
Okay! You need to say more than that. She is home permanently? For a visit? Still in the service or no? More details please!!!!!!
