Reaching still further back …

Little Laura swinging with Beanie

Michele, I need a Costa Rica update! When do Steve, Jill and Shelly arrive? Mom, where the heck are you? It’s been days since I’ve heard from you, and I thought you were only gone till Tuesday …

Did you change this picture? I swear there was a different one on this paragraph earlier today.

Costa Rica update. More crud happening with the credit stuff but I think it is worked out as of today. School is going good. I am learning but slower than I want to but more than I would have in the states. I talk to Daisy LOTS at home. I travelled to Manual Antonio last weekend and saw dolphins while on a big sale boat and did some snorkeling – snorkeling was not so great but still… This weekend I am going to Isla Tortuga for more beach and boat time. Maybe the coffee tour too which I hear is fantastic.

Steve and girls come on Wednesday. They have a hotel near my school. Still deciding on what tours they are doing except I have booked on the tour through the Rainforest on the carribean side “Torteguero Canals” for 2 nights and 3 days. I think they are heading to La Fortuna after that to see the Arenal Volcano, to canapy (zip line) at the top of the rainforest and have fun in the pool and rain.

I have 16 days more to go and counting!!!!! It has been great but many of the people I have hung with go home this weekend, I am running out of money, and I am ready to see my husband, cats, and family! Plus I am ready to start thinking about my classroom and start planning my lessons. I think I am in transition right now. Though I am trying to just focus and enjoy what I have here in the moment!!!!!

How about you? What’s going on in California?

Michele, you must have checked the site right after I posted. Briefly, the picture was one of me swinging on a tire swing at Grandma Gordon’s house because this picture and that picture (which had been uploaded for a different post but both pictures had the same name. Oops. It took me a few minutes to fix it. You don’t miss a thing!

Things here are fine. The news of the day is that I found one of our hens setting eggs in the bushes. We moved her tonight into the “tractor” for protection. It freaked her out and she wasn’t sitting on the eggs when we came in. It’s pretty warm out so the eggs should have been okay for a short period while she calmed down. Hopefully, that didn’t take long. If she is successful, our chicken population could double … she’s got 11 eggs under her. Of course, most of those will likely be roosters!

You said no setting on eggs, but I see you cannot resist. So you will have more roosters!
Steve may have lots of fun if you get anymore like the one you have! I will email more later.
I am wiped out today. love ya

Well, no more roosters this time. TopKnot abandoned the eggs after we moved her. I felt so guilty this morning! When I broke them into the compost pile, they were only a few days into their development but all but one was fertilized. Maybe it’s for the best but it was sad all the same.
