The Strike is Over!

Or at least it should officially be over tomorrow, after the Transit Board of Directors takes the vote to formalize the contract ratified by the Union yesterday. Or perhaps I should say it will be over come Thursday when, once again, buses are expected to roll in our town.

I feel relief. Steve says he just feels tired.

Nobody won. Everybody lost. And the wounds will take a very long time to heal.

We are grateful that the strike is over! We can all worry less about Steve and the people in your area can once again have the buses so many use and deserve to have operating. I guess that is how things go. Today is Rosa Parks funeral in Detroit – the strike she started lasted 381 days but it changed the world! But you are right it takes time for healing and the changes to be made. Love you all

I can’t believe that it is finally over. Maybe tomorrow when I actually see buses on the road. Partying sounds good! Relaxing, too…
And who would I rather do it with? I’m ready!!!

I think there is going to be some partying this weekend! Wish we were there! Have fun. We will be in Fort Wayne but not for a party. It will be good to see family though so I am eager to go. Love you all!
