Meet the new rig… Rocky the truck, Shelly the camper and Twyla the trailer. We spent our first night (pre-Twyla) alongside the Klamath. How fitting! We’re currently “camped” at McAvoy Meadow Ranch, once again taking advantage of Helen and Bob’s hospitality and learning how it all works. Outside it is raining (we ARE in Oregon afterall) but I’m cozy inside Twyla. When it clears, IF it clears, there are lambs and kids to photograph and enjoy. Stay tuned … (it didn’t clear but here is an updated slideshow with some of Helen’s photos added.)

Happy Trails, Laura! I’ll look forward to hearing more about your adventures as you explore this beautiful land.
I look forward to exploring this beautiful land too! Right now we are heading south on I-5 through lush green Oregon scenery while the rain that makes it that way steadily falls. We’re on our way back to California, to work and go to school while we figure it all out. This quick trip to Oregon to pick up “Twyla” is just one step in preparing for the fun to come. One step to be followed by another and then another … adventure awaits.
Everything looks great. I am not sure about naming your camper the same as your niece though.
Any word on what you are doing with the house that doesn’t have wheels?
Hey Steve, a girl I work with talks about a place in Wisconsin that her dad goes often to make his own kayaks. She has done it too and says its really great. Will you two be going to all states? Should I get the info from her?
Ah! “Twyla” is gorgeous. Hope she’s getting along well with Rocky and Shelly :0)
Michele … Camper Shelly is so named because she is our “turtle shell”. Hopefully, niece Shelly won’t mind. We LOVE Shelly! (Both of them!) Or perhaps I should include “Aunt Shel” in that and say ALL of them.
Cathy … so far, so good! 🙂
Wow! That is some travel trailer, Twyla! I am
not sure I can keep all these names straight.
We are getting old – Dad doesn’t have the dogs
names yet! I have never seen trailer with whole
back that opens. Just get it to MI soon!
love, mom
