Visual Poetic License

Dad sent photos of their deck after he meticulously sanded and filled and painted (etc) but they needed someone in them to make them more interesting. I fixed that with a little help from Photoshop. Okay, I know that dad doesn’t have a beard anymore, but he’s dressed for the occasion, don’t you think?

Wow, if that is not a picture the defines the word “Grandpa” I don’t know what is!!!!!!

I don’t think Dad’s going to like defining the word “grandpa”, although Jill’s photo slideshow did begin and end with him in that role. Did you notice?

Let me see, “What would I like to have people in 50 years to remember me by?” Probably not this picture, though I guess it does capture the spirit of the project. I am impressed by your talent my daughter. But it sure makes me believe the old addage my dad taught me: “Don’t believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.” The deck is torn apart again because the workers are coming to fix the chimney and that required I take off some of the boards from the deck. Made me want to cry. Even more so when they informed me they will have to tear out part of my ceiling and wall in the basement to fix it. Oh well, guess I better put on those bib-overalls again. Love, Dad

In order for them to fix the chimney, do they pay for the repair for the damage to the ceilig and wall in the basement? I hope so!

I would have done more than cried I think!

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

    Michele
