Yesterday. Fourth of July. Westi is sitting at the campfire with Toby, who is visiting for a week or so while his person is in Scotland. They are both staring hard at a ball that Toby wants Westi to throw. Reminds us of Charlie. As for Ginger, she looks bigger than she is because she is in the foreground of the photo, but besides that, she has a big presence that belies her weight or her inches. I swear she takes up more space on the bed than Steve and I combined!
How is Costa Rica today?

Hi. Oh that is cool that you were together for the 4th.
Costa Rica is good. I still get homesick but I think last week was worse b/c I didn’t travel. My teacher this week has been great and I get to have her again next week. So that helps. This weekend I am going to Manual Antonio (A very popular beach and national park area) I need to get some sun or people aren’t going to believe I was here.
I am hoping to relax and study some near the pool, then some at the beach, and then do some snorkeling. I really wanted to go to the beaches along the Pacific and in the north but it is about 6 hours and I have class on Friday, so it didn’t make sense to do that this weekend. I am going to a closer beach which is more touristy, which I didn’t want as much but oh well. The park is nearby and people say it is good for hiking.

The pit looks just the same as it did before, only with a fire in it. Looks better that way. As for Michael looking bundled, it was comfortably nippy. With the campfire, the patio heater (and Michael’s blankey), it was perfect.
