Congratulations are in order, Michele, and I’ll have to work on a graduation post to honor your hard work and accomplishments. For now, I’ll post goat pictures as promised … so you don’t have to look at snakes anymore. Poppy, Misty, Sweetheart and Tulip belong to our neighbor, Vaiva. We’re considering sharing them with her. They came down for a visit with the notion being they would nibble contentedly from the giant pile of blackberry on the property that is waiting to be burned. They spent most of the day completely ignoring the blackberry although they did munch some from the other burn pile of redwood branches. Mostly they looked up the driveway, bleating pathetically for their mom to come back. Very sweet!

Thanks Big Sister! The goats are great and definitely sweet looking. And for me they are much better to look at then the snakes.
I like the goats better also but I did like seeing the snakes. I don’t want to run across one in the wild but like wathching them in the pond! I am not like dad and Michele! love you all
I keep forgetting to tell you I like your new gigglefern heading! I love seeing people I know in photos as you know. That photo is very cute!
Thanks Mom, I like it too. I get that vacation feeling every time I see it. 🙂
Hey, do you still have flowers? Do goats eat flowers? How is the snake population? The link needs to go from 56 to 57, but maybe you have done it also. love you
YES! Goats eat flowers. And yes, I still have mine, but only because I was supervising. I spring-cleaned the pond on Monday (after the photo shoot), and in the process drove the snakes away. There was no sign of them yesterday so last night I put the fish back in the pond. Today I’ll keep a close eye out for the snakes return. So far, no sign of them.
The link from elmhurst56.com to elmhurst57.com is done.
Thanks for the very cute card big sister! I wish you were here but not to attend a cermony but to just celebrate with. Hey, you want to learn Spanish, I think you should go to Costa Rica with me. They offer beginning and other courses too!
Costa Rican spanish classes sound fun … and brother Steve suggested we meet there and go on eco-tours. But alas … I’ll be in school this summer. Do you know more about Costa Rica? Does it look like it will happen?
I am working on the written test now and I plan to take the oral test (over the phone) probably on Monday or Tuesday. I will know shortly after that what is going on. If I pass at Intermediate/Advance then I go for 6 weeks to get my class credit from U of M. If I pass at intermediate level I either go longer and take a class to get to Advanced (which means more time there and more money) or just not go and wait and take it at U of M in the fall. So I know more and have had contact with the school but the ball is in my court now.
