Friday was Haylee’s last day on earth. Nicole flew home from North Dakota to be with her to the end. Haylee and Nicole. Nicole and Haylee. They had an amazing connection. An intense connection. In fact, everything about Haylee was intense. Her energy. Her fierceness. Her love for Nicole. Especially her love for Nicole. And Nicole’s for her. A love that will transcend the boundaries of mortal life and death. A friendship that will last forever.

Nicole and Haylee… unbelievable love and devotion!
It’s hard to accept that she’s gone.
Nicole, you are in my thoughts all the time. Hang in there. If there is anything I can do to help you through this, let me know.
I am so sorry Nicole. As I look at your picture I am sobbing for you and what you had to do, and what you must be feeling now (and some for myself because of the painful memories it brings back when Buddy had to leave us in May)
Isn’t it amazing how these animals come into our lives and attach to our hearts!
As I wrote in the post about the moment Buddy had to leave us, “The moment just SUCKED – there is no nicer way to put it! It was one of those moments of “it was the right thing to do” but it didn’t make the pain any less.” Hang in there Nicole. I am sure your moment sucked too but the pain does ease and trust me, she is still with you!
No words can help your sorrow but you are in our thoughts and prayers!
Your strength is awesome my dear sister. You and Haylee gave each other the support you needed. Know that we are here for you now. Sending all my love!
So glad you got to come home for Haylee. Sounds
like the time with you before she died was good.
And as you know, she will always be with you but
now in a different way. I know it doesn’t make
your pain less, but hopefully knowing that we are
all thinking of you and saying our prayers for you
will help you through this time. I wish I could
hug you right now. love you lots
Hey, I want that photo of Nicole and Haylee, Laura. Dad can’t comment and I will call and
tell you why later. Love you all and hope you
are better, Nicole.
