My weekly Flash assignment was to design a splash page for a website called The Firm List that serves as a guide to web designers all over the world. They actively seek submissions but mine is just homework so far… maybe I’ll submit one later when I know how to do more with Flash. For now, only my class and the rare few of you who read this site get to see my work.

I am not sure what I am looking at when I click the links. When I click on Splash page and a new page with the FI symbol comes up, you designed that? Then when I enter there is a page with LOTS of stuff, you designed that too? Somewhat confused!
I did not design the page with “LOTS of stuff”. That is actually the website of “The Firm List”. The page before that (which you got to by clicking on the “splash page” link) is my homework assignment. Splash pages are entry pages to websites … not all sites use them, in fact, generally I find them irritating as they just make me have to click one more time to get where I want to be. In this case though, making a splash page was the assignment, so make a splash page I did.
Thanks! Wow, how quickly I forget things. I had Splash Pages I had to layout for the techs when I worked at Chyrsler. I didn’t even put two and two together. Our splashpages were more like “bulletin pages” that held information that we wanted people to see before they went to the page they wanted. But I agree with you, for the most part they are just an extra step.
The flowers are pretty!
I agree with Michele, your design is beautiful!
Hope you had great visit yesterday. love ya
