Rollerblades

Grandpa couldn’t resist, again! He never bought me rollerblades when I was 11 but when Shelly asks for them…lets go shopping. The girls are enjoying rollerblading this holiday weekend thanks to early birthday presents from grandpa and grandma. I can barely keep up with Shelly. Jill is learning fast but it makes her more confident knowing grandpa’s hand is there to hold on to.

Training

Murphy’s Law example:
One of my goals for the summer was to start exercising on a regular schedule. So after my class ended in June, I started running, biking and swimming. It was tough the first few weeks but around August it started to feel good. Yesterday, I even biked 17.5 miles and then ran 4 miles and I felt so energized afterwards. I have been wanting to run a triathlon for a long time and finally had the confidence that I should go for it. So I filled out an entry form last night for a race up at Stoney Creek Metro Park in September. I bought my racing suit… I was very excited… woke up late this morning because it was a rest day for training… and proceeded to walk into a book case and break my little toe. I am not sure when I will be able to run. Bummer!!!
