OK, after half a year from my first entry we will try to get this rolling again. The girls first backpacking expediation was very successful. We hiked on top of Mammoth Cave National Park for a couple of days and then spent a couple days going through the caves. The 55 degree temperature inside the caves was much preferred to the 95 degree temperature on the surface. The girls were awesome hikers, though. When I mentioned that it would be fun to have grandpa with us, however, they weren’t sure he could keep up.

Unfortunately, they are probably accurate!
Is the picture of the one girl with a big smile Jill? Hard to tell but doesn’t look like either one of the girls.
Sounds like it was a great trip!!!
Who the heck is “anonymous”? Come out of the closet, whoever you are …
That girl with the big smile (with new braces) and long stringy hair is Jill. We only saw two other people each day on the trails so unless there was a magical creature tagging along it is Jill.
Actually, Dad, the food tasted like mush.
too late we did go in there.the passage was named fat mans misery.
Aunt michele, its sad that you cant recognize your own niece.
Woo Hoo, Shelly and Jill commented too! I love that! Happy belated birthday, Jillmo.
Love, Aunt Laura
Wow! more commentors. Gram likes all these
photos and comments. Jill, Aunt Michele is
being very quiet if that is who is not telling
us who they are. We may be surprised, you
never know. Where is my big granddaughter
lately, haven’t seen anything from her.
I guess she is busy seeing King Tut and riding
rides at Disney. Thanks, Laura, for doing all this work so we can enjoy it! Love you all
Thanks, too, Steve, for all your work. It keeps us all connected even though we can’t
see each other often. love
Hi Jillmo! I thought it was a picture of you but it doesn’t look like you in this particular photo. It looked like you had glasses on and last I knew, you didn’t wear glasses! I guess you will have to send more pictures of yourself so I recognize you better each time!!!! Keep up the writing on the website.
