Seven goldfish and four mosquito fish swim in our pond today. How many will be there tomorrow now that Slytherin has returned?

As intriguing as slytherin is, what happened to my promised graduation posting? 😉

I know, I know. I’m regrouping … I’ll do a belated graduation post soon. Promise. First things first, though. The next post is for Isa.

Fish and snake update: one week after Slytherin was spotted, only one gold fish has disappeared. All other fish but one (who chooses to live dangerously, and refuses to be caught) have been relocated into the Fish Protection Program. Operation pond maintenance is being put into immediate effect.

Although the fish was wily, Slytherin was apparently wilier still. No fish in the pond tonight. 🙁

UPDATE: The last fish was only in hiding. He came out but so did Slytherin. Steve, my snake-fearing hero of a husband, caught Slytherin, getting bit in the process. To add insult to injury (literally), then the snake pooped on him while I pried its mouth loose from Steve’s thumb. Slytherin has been re-located (flung) into the swamp, where we hope he will make a new home, and live a long and full life … a life filled with the eating of rodents rather than goldfish.
