At long last, Grace is home!

Beautiful Grace comes homeAnd at long last, her Grandma is announcing it on this website. The delay does not mean I’m a bad grandma. Really. It is just so much better holding Grace, feeding Grace, looking at Grace… even changing her diaper… than it is writing about it! Grace came home on Friday, March 6 at 4 pounds, 14 ounces, three weeks after her brother, one day before her mama’s rescheduled baby shower, and two days before her actual due date. The pace picked up in the Haughey household immediately with two infants and sleepless parents at home. To add a little drama, the water went out (it was the electricity when Emmett came home.) Mike and Westi adjusted beautifully, not needing grandparental assistance nearly as much as we would have liked. Thanks to the Park keeping us on an extra few weeks, we got a chance to know Grace a bit. She is definitely “herself”… the new reigning princess of the household (I guess that makes you “Queen”, Westi.)

What Gracie wants, Gracie gets.

You did good, grandma! Michele should like today! Your weather ahead
looks not so good but I hope it is ahead of you. It is cold way south and stormy. Take care and love to you both

home for while. You might even see that other missing
daughter!Where are you, Nicole? We’d all like to see
you or at least hear from you. love you all

Awright! This post is so old that Gracie has grown and is in college by now! Well maybe not quite grown but she sure is a cutie…but in a tie with her brother!

So…what are you all up to?!?! Or should I say “Y’all”?

Well she isn’t quite in college but I admit I’m pretty much a loser in the posting department these days. We’re busy doing… what are we doing? I’m not sure but it keeps us busy! We love our house and it becomes “home” more every day. The owner of the two wooded lots adjacent to one side of our house agreed to sell them to us so we’re in escrow on that. Have already met with a guy to do some needed clearing and clean-up on them and we don’t even own them yet. We’re also enjoying the music scene, the hospitality of neighbors, visiting family on the Gulf coast. Now if Dottie will start eating again, and she and Noche poop normal, life will be good. Such is my life! When Westi calls, between babies and dogs, the main topic is poop!
