But … is it Art?

I had fun with this week’s Photoshop assignment. We were given digital images and instructed to create from them a montage. Six images … no more, no less. We could alter them as we wished, using the vast array of Photoshop tools (of which my mastery is quite limited.) It was a futzing-around kind of project and I expected to enjoy the process. Happily, I even like the end result.

ps. If you don’t find the squirrel, then you haven’t fully appreciated my “art”. You must look again.

I saw the squirrel but in some ways I thought it was a chick at first. Either makes sense in your part of the world. Classes are going good I take it.

The rainbow “skin” is great! Much more colorful and fun. I am getting use to the new format too so the new colors just enhance it!!!! Thanks!

I’m happy you like it, Michele, since it was lovingly made especially for you.

Hmmm… Ely saw the squirrel in the clouds and you saw a chick. Given the individual, subjective interpretations, maybe this is Art (yes, with a capital “A”), albeit not very meaningful or profound work.

I see the squirrel, but I had to resize the box wider because when I clicked on the thumbnail it didn’t open to full size. He’s sitting on the marble-type rock, right hand side. He also appears to be mirrored in the rock face. But I might just be making that up. Do I win a prize? =)

Finally! Westi posted! I’m wondering if you were on your Mac or PC when the pop-up box didn’t open full size. It works for me but if the pop-ups aren’t going to behave properly then I should explore having them open in a custom page instead. You get big points for seeing the “reflection” of the squirrel. Although it isn’t really a reflection, and I didn’t create it … it’s just a fluke. But one I like. How about I take you out to dinner on Friday night for your reward?

I found the squirrel! Like Michele I had to see
it differently and I am not sure why I got the
art that way but I could see squirrel!

I was on my laptop, but I’m not sure if I was using Firefox or IE at the time, because when I tried clicking on the thumbnail again this morning, it opened up full size. I’ll happily take my prize though!
