And the next chapter begins …

We are off the mountain for good, “camped” at the beach, trying to take in whatever this is that we have just done. It doesn’t feel momentous yet … but it is. We are exhausted and stretched but starting to unwind from this past week’s constant high tension. My beloved ceramic Christmas tree is lit up and colorful. The dogs are dancing around Steve making dinner, hoping for some cheese tidbits, the generator is giving electricity for the moment but soon we will have none. Ultimately, solar power will facilitate computing but tonight electricity is limited in supply. Best to turn off my computer for the evening. Wow… it’s a new life.

I can’t imagine what you are feeling as it isn’t
even real to me yet. I am glad to know you are
down that mountain with that trailer. That worried me and I know you have a professional
driver but I still worry and say my prayers.
Hopefully you can relax and enjoy today. Happy
birthday, Steve. I told Nicole we would try to
call tonight if timing works. We are off to church, then to grocery for some last minute things. I have some cooking to do and lot to
wrap but we may make it by Christmas morning.
    Love you both

Congratulations! Seems like a fit birthday present for Steve to have everything settled and moving on to the next chatpter. We hope it is a truly happy birthday Steve!
