Coming or going … they are cute!

Dottie’s first snow and she seems part rabbit. Noche sinks deep but isn’t fazed. Princess Ginger … well, she takes her ground dry and warm, thank you very much.

Note: posted while driving home from the foothills, newly in possession of the Verizon Wireless card formerly owned by Fosters. Woo hoo! Internet connectivity while on the road means we need to plan more road trips! Who should we visit next?

I know exactly where you should visit next!
And bring along some others okay. Ginger is
a princess. I like Jill’s sense of humor!

Laura – I haven’t stopped by in a while and here I am in a wified Holiday Inn Express trying to sleep as tomorrow is my husband’s mother’s funeral and concerns about his health have me tapping away unable to sleep. It’s so nice to ffeel a smile forming at the corners of my mouth when I see your precious pups frolicking.
Because I’m a computer illiterate I’ve had to wait to have my son put blog links in my sidebar – and I keep meaning to ask you if you’d mind my linking to you – because that way I’d more easily drop in to say ‘Hi’ and I’d love to share your thoughts and pictures with my few but loyal fellow bloggers. If you prefer to maintain some privacy – I do understand. Sending you a smile and a hug. Cathy

Oh yes, please, I would be honored, Cathy, to have you link to gigglefern. I never even thought to ask you… I just linked to lookingup a while back for my own selfish purposes. I’m sorry you are in a hotel, worrying rather than sleeping, and I hope the small smile grows into a big one soon.

I am not sleeping too, but happily, in a State Park campground, on the first night of vacation, wirelessly connected, with my sweetie and my dogs close by, and balmy warm delta air washing over us all. Life is yummy tonight.

    ….and where are vacation pictures?!?!?!
Weather here on the home front has been glorious as well. Not quite ready to let my winter guard down yet but it’s hard not to do the whoopee dance when things are blooming all around!

we can’t tell if our dogs like snow or not, they’re so short we can’t see them in more than two inches!

ha ha, Shelly! We really can’t see Maggie and Jack (our dogs)in the snow! they blend in anyway being so white! I don’t think they like snow because they don’t like water; when we went to the lake we couldn’t get them off the raft! Also, the way Maggie does her buisness on the sidewalk so she doesn’t have to touch the snow sort of gives us a small clue. We couldn’t see with our cats; they don’t go outside in the first place.

Jill and Shelly, I love it when you comment on gigglefern! Stay tuned for a new post and pictures tomorrow about our vacation. No snow this time! We’ve been in the Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta camping and canoeing with the dogs. The weather has been hot and sunny… just perfect. It’s been a blast. Tonight’s our last night so we’ll be home tomorrow.

    Laura,
Such kindness. I’m so touched by your thoughtful concern for my well-being in Detroit.

Our son has offered to fly in from Boston, but he will have just returned from a week of all-nighters at McDonald Observatory, so I’ve not encouraged him. One friend has offered to travel north with me and there are a few others who would come if we hit major bumps.

Everything we know of Dr. Menon and the Vattakuti Institute indicates that we should have smooth sailing and be on our way home the day following surgery.

Still, it’s such a pleasantness to think I could phone your family if serious complications occurred and my spirits flagged. They have to be beautiful people like you and sometimes a kind word, a smile and a hug from other gentle souls is enough to steady a listing bark.

    My email is mushduck@yahoo.com

I’m happily anticipating pictures from your camping trip. I’m so glad you got away for some joyful R&R. I hope you’re feeling rested and restored.

Thanks for your kind thoughtfulness and good wishes.

    Warm regards,
    Cathy (Wilson:)
