Think: Grayson Come Home

I’m re-running my favorite Grayson picture and asking everyone who reads this to think: Grayson come home. He escaped out Westi’s dog door last Thursday night and hasn’t been seen since. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a wreck. Signs are posted, emails sent, shelters checked etc. We think he may try to find home and so could be anywhere in a six mile area of forest, roads and homes. He is microchipped and friendly so hopefully someone will call us. Grayson, come home!

Let it go

We let go of 3 truckloads of things out of the barn and dye shed in the last few days and today the dumpster comes. We are definitely “letting go” — of belongings and of pent-up angst, even of beloved kitties. When this poem by e.e. cummings came into my mail box this morning, it seemed worthy of sharing and re-reading. Here is to letting go …

let it go – the
smashed word broken
open vow or
the oath cracked length
wise – let it go it
was sworn to
go

let them go – the
truthful liars and
the false fair friends
and the boths and
neithers – you must let them go they
were born
to go

let all go – the
big small middling
tall bigger really
the biggest and all
things – let all go
dear

so comes love
