If you look at our corral cam, you will see emptiness. Ginger moved the horses today to a location just a few minutes from her home. Good for her, good for them and ultimately, good for us. But sad too. It is the end of something that has been special and wonderful and it is momentous in marking a passage in our lives. Just exactly what we are passing to is as yet unknown but we are moving towards whatever it is at a rapid pace. Maybe not at a gallop but at least at a trot. Best wishes to Indy and Erik. Best wishes to us.

But it’s spring
I rose this morning early as usual, and went to my desk.
But it’s spring,
and the thrush is in the woods,
somewhere in the twirled branches, and he is singing.
And so, now, I am standing by the open door.
And now I am stepping down into the grass.
I am touching a few leaves.
I am noticing the way the yellow butterflies
move together, in a twinkling cloud, over the field.
And I am thinking: maybe just looking and listening
is the real work.
Maybe the world, without us,
is the real poem.
