Cesar is going home. This man, who has been one of the most influential people in my life this year, will be greatly missed on the mountain. Pictured here with a neighbor child, he came to earn money to send his own children to school, and in the process, found a place in the hearts and homes of people living a very different life. It isn’t “to be or not to be” … it is “will we get a new puppy or will we not?” and “Will they choose us or will they not?” Mind you, these aren’t just any puppies. These are Danish-Swedish Farm Dog puppies! We met the ones in the slideshow yesterday. Drove all the way to San Fran to do it too. They cost a pretty penny and they are very hard to come by, as mostly they reside in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. Papa to the pictured litter is in Denmark. Mama flew there for three weeks to make this litter possible. We have decided they are the “perfect dog”, and if chosen (it’s a little like being in junior high again, hoping to be picked for the team) … well … Ginger and Noche just might have a new friend!
