Full Circle

May 29, 2008, we first laid eyes on Canyon Lake. From that day forward, the lake level dropped daily, reaching record lows last summer. The two year drought ended in September with a huge rain that dropped a beautiful Spanish Oak in our back yard and, obsessed, we monitored rainfall, river flow and lake levels, as the lake came back up, inch by inch. Sometimes it seemed as if it would never be full again. At other times, it rose a foot overnight.

Yesterday was a momentous day. We came full circle and the lake is as we first saw it. And still rising. One more foot to reach full “conservation pool”. Rain is good.

Hope is levels out now. And hope it stays up so we can enjoy it in May. Does this make getting boat in and out
easier now. Hope you had great concert. We had good day.
Went to Belleville to her friend preach first sermon in his
new congregation, then dad preached sermon at his ordination service. Dad’s sermon was awesome and something
you don’t her often in Presbyterian churches happened. There was a chorus of ‘Amen’ from most of the congregation.
After reception there we left to celebrate dad and friends
birthdays. He is the chef and he cooked the most most
wonderful dinner. Dad got crab cakes and angel food cake
both os his favorites and Matt didn’t even know they were
favorites. We ate too much food but had great evening
with good friends to end the day. We had beef Wellington
which was a work of art before he cut into it. love you

Sounds like rain is falling in all the right places (at least as far as I and my friends are concerned)!
Digging post holes the other day and hit ground water at less than 3 feet! Better get them finished before the ground turns to cement again!
